In 2007, The Village of Dansville created the office of Village Administrator. With the ever increasing complexity of local government and the ever changing personnel on the Village Board, the administration felt that local government needed continuity. With the creation of the Village Administrators position, the board provided a pivotal position that could traverse the changes in the board of trustees and provide a stable flow of government operations.
The financial impact to the Village was minimized by combining the Position of Superintendent Of Public Works and the Village Administrator into one position.
